It gives me immense pleasure to welcome and introduce you to the Punjab Saaf Pani Company-South (PSPC-South). These are exciting yet challenging times at PSPC-South. We are motivated to remain innovative in providing safe drinking water supply solutions to the most vulnerable and marginalized segments of society in peri-urban and rural areas, and at the same time, inspiring and uplifting the communities in which we operate in the Punjab province. We appreciate the ongoing support received from those who are interested in PSPC-South’s activities and pledge to continue in our efforts to exceed their expectations in providing them level playing field. I am happy to state that so far our efforts towards the accomplishment of Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf Pani Program have been extremely fulfilling. We have accomplished the pilot project and established 116 satet-of-the-art water filtration plants, which are providing safe drinking water to over 350,000 village residents in five tehsils of Hasilpur, Dunyapur, Khanpur, Lodhran and Minchinabad in Bahalwapur region. For the launch of the first phase in 27 tehsils of nine districts of the province, we are in the process pre-qualification of international and national bidders and award of contracts following a transparent process to achieve global standards. Besides, through our civil society partner organizations, we are building grassroots communities’ organizations at village level; not only to take lead in the identification of water solutions but also create a sense of ownership among them. PSPC-South team has unwavering commitment to complete this program without compromising over environment sustainability and financial prudence and transparency. We are striving to sustain and build on the remarkable success. This is a beginning of a new tomorrow. Our scale of transformation is vast; therefore, it is challenging task and we are determined to come up to the expectation of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Following the progressive policies, Punjab government has very thoughtfully embarked upon an unprecedented service provision program at the cost of billions of rupees. The width and scope of developmental potential of Punjab are indeed enormous and this program is aimed at fulfilling development dream of the Punjab Chief Minister. This progressive venture will positively alter the ground realities and will lead to socio-economic development of the people. I am thankful to the Punjab Chief Minister and Chairman PSPC-South for their unflinching support.
